BHRAM

BHRAM – The Delusion Democracy. A promise of freedom, equality, and justice that is slipping through our fingers. A system meant to serve the people. By the people. For the people. But what if this promise is an illusion – carefully curated, manipulated, and controlled? BHRAM, meaning “Delusion” in Hindi, is a contemporary dance piece—and an urgent reckoning with the state of democracy today. A mirror reflecting the unsettling reality of a world where truth is under siege, where power is wielded not for the people but against them. Through movement, we ask: Are we truly free, or are we puppets in a grand spectacle, believing in a system that is already crumbling?
From the suppression of protests to the rise of authoritarianism all over the world, democracy is under attack. In a world where populist leaders twist facts and bend laws, where technology fuels misinformation faster than truth can catch up, BHRAM is a rebellion against apathy. It is an outcry against the forces that silence, deceive, and divide.
